Job Description
SERVICE TECHNICIAN We are a Michigan-based leader in car wash equipment installation, service, and chemical distribution. We are expanding and seeking an experienced Service Technician who can operate independently, troubleshoot efficiently, and represent our company professionally in the field.This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can step in with minimal training and immediately contribute to service and installation work. POSITION OVERVIEW:The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial car wash equipment throughout Michigan. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently in the field. You will be trusted to make sound decisions, manage service calls, and maintain strong customer relationships. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsPerform preventative maintenance and emergency service callsAssist with and lead equipment installationsTroubleshoot motors, pumps, controls, and related systemsComplete accurate service documentation and invoicesMaintain company vehicle, tools, and equipmentCommunicate clearly and professionally with customersParticipate in rotating on-call schedule REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:3+ years of field service, industrial maintenance, or commercial equipment repair experienceStrong electrical troubleshooting ability (control systems, motors, wiring, etc.)Mechanical aptitude (pumps, belts, bearings, hydraulics)Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionValid Michigan driver’s license and clean driving recordAbility to pass DOT physical and drug screening (if applicable) PREFERRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED):CDL and/or HAZMAT certificationExperience with car wash equipment or similar automated systems PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift, bend, crawl, reach overhead, and work in tight spacesWillingness to travel throughout MichiganOccasional overnight stays may be required COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: (Details subject to final structure)Competitive hourly pay based on experienceWeekly payOvertime (1.5x after 40 hours)Health, Dental & Vision Insurance (company contribution)401(k) with company matchPaid vacationCompany vehicle during working hoursCompany phoneTools, boots, and uniforms provided WHO SUCCEEDS HERE:Technicians who take ownership of problemsIndividuals who work with urgency and professionalismPeople who enjoy solving technical challengesThose who want stable, year-round work in an essential industry #IND1#ZR
