Restoration Coordinator
Location: Southeast Michigan (Field-Based)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Pay: $25.35/hour
Duration: 6-Month Contract with Potential for Extension or Direct HireMileage Reimbursement: Provided per company travel policy
Position Overview
Our client is seeking Restoration Coordinators to support ongoing underground gas line replacement projects throughout Southeast Michigan. This field-based role serves as the bridge between construction operations, customers, contractors, and restoration vendors to ensure properties impacted by utility work are accurately documented and restored.
Working alongside Gas Operations Supervisors, you will inspect completed construction areas, identify restoration needs, document findings using an iPad, and help coordinate the restoration process from start to finish. Projects are located primarily in residential neighborhoods, and assignments will change throughout the year based on construction schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct field inspections following underground gas line replacement projects.
  • Identify and document all property restoration requirements.
  • Record inspection findings and upload documentation using an iPad.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, contractors, restoration vendors, and utility personnel.
  • Communicate with homeowners regarding restoration activities and timelines.
  • Coordinate with inspectors, including city, county, and MDOT representatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and project documentation.
  • Support Gas Operations Supervisors with restoration tracking and project updates.
  • Travel between active construction sites throughout Southeast Michigan.
Qualifications
  • Ability to spend approximately 90% of the workday walking and working outdoors.
  • Reliable personal vehicle required; mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Basic experience using an iPad and navigating internet-based applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including:
    • Outlook
    • Word
    • Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple project locations.
  • Comfortable working in active construction environments.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in construction, utilities, inspections, field operations, restoration coordination, property management, landscaping, surveying, or similar field-based work.
  • Experience communicating with contractors, municipalities, or utility customers.
Work Environment
  • Field-based position throughout Southeast Michigan.
  • Primarily residential neighborhoods.
  • Extensive walking and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs.
