Quality Control Engineer
Reports To: Quality Control Manager
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Job DescriptionA Quality Control Engineer monitors and tests product quality, ensures compliance with standards, identifies issues, and recommends solutions. Responsibilities• Administer corrective and preventative actions internally and externally
• Process parameter development
• Implement SPC on the shop floor
• Apply lean methods
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and GD&T
• Use problem‑solving techniques
• Complete and implement 8D corrective actions Traits• Self‑motivated
• Customer‑focused
• Detail‑oriented with analytical tendencies
• Team‑oriented
• Able to make consistent, data‑driven decisions Experience• Statistical Process Control implementation and utilization
• Root cause analysis and problem‑solving techniques
• PFMEA, Control Plans, Capability Studies
• Basic blueprint reading/interpretation and GD&T
• Problem‑solving techniques and skills
• Complete and implement 8D corrective actions
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with MeasureLink (preferred, not required) Education & Qualifications• Experience and knowledge in an Automotive IATF 16949 system
• 4–7 years of experience as a Quality Control Engineer Physical Requirements• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items
• Responding to public address announcements
• Walking and standing
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more Environmental Requirements• Uneven walking surfaces due to heavy equipment traffic
• Dusty and noisy shop environment
• Drafts and temperature changes from frequently open doors
• Slippery floors during wet weather or from coolants/oils
• Handling parts with sharp edges
• Exposure to gas fumes from forklifts
• Possible contact with hazardous materials
• Occasional outdoor work with climate fluctuations Personal Protective Equipment• Safety glasses required on the shop floor Management may add or change duties at any time.#ZR#IND1
