Job Description
Our client is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team in Jackson, MI. This full-time contract position offers a competitive pay rate of $18.57/hr and an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-volume laboratory setting.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Phlebotomist
- Location: Jackson, MI
- Pay Rate: $18.57/hr
- Schedule: 40 hours per week (5 shifts/week, 8-hour shifts)
- Start Date: TBD
- Assignment Type: Full-time
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
- Accurately label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety during sample collection.
- Follow proper infection control and safety protocols.
- Utilize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for documentation.
- Assist with specimen processing and handling.
- Provide exceptional patient service while maintaining professionalism.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience required
- Active Phlebotomy Certification preferred (CPT, ASCP, or equivalent)
- BLS Certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with EPIC or other EHR systems
- Previous hospital or clinical laboratory experience
