Duration: 3–6 months; contract to hire possible based on performance and business needs
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Sunday. Must be available to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
Pay Rate: $32–$37 per hour
Machine Repair Technician is responsible for leading advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of complex Passenger Boarding Bridge (PBB) systems and associated electrical and mechanical components. In this senior technical role, you will manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance efforts, provide team leadership, and ensure operational excellence through detailed documentation and data analysis. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining seamless airport operations, safety compliance, and efficient system functionality.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment is similar to airport operations with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold temperatures, and vibration. Noise levels are usually loud. Employees will work on an airport ramp around aircraft and heavy equipment.

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs) and related electrical and mechanical systems, including industrial controls, wiring, and components.
- Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance; lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance efforts.
- Lead and delegate tasks while communicating professionally with customers and team members.
- Interpret manuals and work orders for accurate service execution.
- Accurately document maintenance activity in CMMS and analyze system data to identify and resolve issues.
- Communicate critical updates to supervisors and operate equipment such as forklifts, golf carts, and company vehicles.
- Comply with company safety programs and required trainings.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to obtain necessary security clearance
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance operations
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekends and holidays
- Skilled in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repair
- Familiarity with airport operations
- Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Experience with passenger boarding bridges and conveyance systems
- Proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, project management tools, and CMMS software
