About the RoleOur Client is seeking Material Handlers to support operations at the Spartanburg facility. This is a one-month contract role with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance. The position plays an important role in keeping recyclable materials moving efficiently through the site.Responsibilities
- Load and haul returned mattresses into trucks, ensuring items are secured safely for transport.
- Sort through a variety of materials (toys, parts, etc.), removing batteries for recycling.
- Organize and palletize items systematically using pallet jacks.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings (drug test, background, and criminal history check).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.
- Steel-toed boots required (PPE).
- Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Friday as needed).
- Hours: 40 per week with overtime opportunities.
- Pay: $20.00/hour.
- Contract: 1-Month | Possible Extension.
- Virtual interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams once qualified applicants are identified.
