Job SummaryThe Laborer performs a variety of general manual labor tasks to support landfill operations at the Naples Sanitary Landfill. Duties include spotting, site cleanup, and assisting with daily operational activities. This role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and following strict safety protocols. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.Work schedule alternates weekly:

Job SummaryThe Laborer performs a variety of general manual labor tasks to support landfill operations at the Naples Sanitary Landfill. Duties include spotting, site cleanup, and assisting with daily operational activities. This role requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and following strict safety protocols. Bilingual English/Spanish is required.Work schedule alternates weekly:
- Week 1: Monday – Friday
- Week 2: Monday – Wednesday off; Work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Perform general manual labor tasks, including lifting, moving materials, loading/unloading, digging, refilling holes, and assisting equipment operators.
- Serve as a spotter to help guide traffic and equipment safely around the facility.
- Clean and maintain grounds around the landfill, including mowing, trimming, and trash/debris removal.
- Support operational staff with various tasks as assigned.
- Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors.
- Hard hat
- High-visibility vest (provided onsite if needed)
- Steel-toe boots
- Long pants (shorts not permitted due to environment)
- Eye protection
- Required: High school diploma or GED; 0–4 years of experience.
- Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent experience; 0–4 years of experience.
- None required.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish.
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environmental conditions.
- Ability to take direction and work effectively as part of a team.
- Frequent physical effort handling objects up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional exposure to occupational risks such as chemicals, sharp objects, or machinery.
- Exposure to dirt, odors, weather extremes, and loud noise.
- Primarily outdoor manual labor work.
