Contract Medical Directors Needed – Remote | $180/hr | KY-Licensed MDs Only Client: Our client, a major healthcare organization
Location: Remote – Must hold active Kentucky medical license

- Two MDs are needed for 40 hours/week
- One MD is needed for 20 hours/week
- Licensed to practice in Kentucky (required)
- Board Certified (or eligible) in Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Pediatrics (preferred)
- Experience with Utilization Management (UM) is strongly preferred
- Able to complete credentialing, background checks, and contract paperwork promptly
- Provide medical oversight of utilization management and clinical care reviews
- Evaluate authorization requests for medical necessity and regulatory compliance
- Participate in clinical appeals, quality reviews, and adverse incident investigations
- Support implementation of medical policies and quality improvement initiatives
- Liaise between medical staff and administrative leadership
- Monitor care delivery across hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home settings
- Contribute to NCQA and URAC readiness and regulatory compliance activities
- MD or DO with active, unrestricted Kentucky medical license
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience
- At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Director in clinical or managed care settings
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and managed healthcare systems
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills
- Experience with NCQA, HEDIS, Pharmacy Benefit Management, and Quality/Utilization Management
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or Business
- Familiarity with peer review, provider contracting, and evidence-based clinical practice
