Job Description
Our client is seeking experienced Endoscopy Technicians to join their GI Endoscopy team in Rochester, MI. This full-time contract position offers a competitive pay rate of $32.14/hr and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity endoscopy unit supporting advanced procedures.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Endoscopy Technician
- Location: Rochester, MI – 1101 W University Dr
- Pay Rate: $32.14/hr
- Schedule: 40 hours per week (5 shifts/week, 8-hour shifts)
- Start Date: 04/07/2025
- End Date: 07/12/2025
- Assist physicians and RNs with endoscopic procedures.
- Support pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care, including monitoring vital signs as directed by the RN.
- Handle endoscopic instruments, scope reprocessing, and high-level disinfection.
- Prepare and operate endoscopy support equipment such as CO2 pumps, suction devices, and water pumps.
- Collect and label specimens accurately for lab processing.
- Support advanced airway management and suctioning during procedures.
- Perform immediate post-procedure endoscope pre-cleaning and equipment troubleshooting.
- Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- ERCP, EUS, and advanced endoscopy procedure experience required
- BLS Certification required
- Must hold one of the following certifications:
- SGNA (Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates) Certification
- Surgical Technologist Certification
- Sterile Processing and Distribution (SPD) Certification
- Must have completed one of the following educational programs:
- Accredited (CAAHEP/ABHES) Medical Assistant Program
- Surgical Technician Program
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training
Preferred:
- Two years of healthcare experience in a similar clinical setting
- Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and scope reprocessing
