This is a long-term contract budgeted for 12 months, with the possibility of extension or direct hire. Benefits available.
About the RoleOur client is seeking experienced Construction Field Supervisors to oversee the day-to-day planning and execution of construction projects performed by both internal teams and contractor personnel. This role ensures that all projects are delivered to company standards, meet technical and regulatory requirements, and maximize return on investment (ROI). Supervisors will lead construction scheduling, manage permitting activities, and work closely with planning teams to ensure effective resource allocation and project prioritization.This position plays a key role in continuous improvement, workforce oversight, contractor performance, and cross-functional coordination. Typical span of control includes up to 5 active projects and approximately 15 total FTEs.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise construction activities to ensure projects meet company standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
- Oversee contractor performance, crew qualification standards, and construction quality.
- Coordinate construction schedules and communicate workload priorities across teams.
- Review and approve as-built drawings prior to contractor payment.
- Partner with construction planning personnel on technical design, installation methods, and cost-effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot escalated project issues and coordinate with contractors, customers, and external agencies.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, developing processes, metrics, and best practices.
- Monitor staff workload and productivity; adjust assignments to meet standards and deadlines.
- Ensure consistent application of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) policies.
- May serve as key tag protection leader and/or job leader per applicable corporate policies.
- Perform core supervisory functions, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, reporting, budgeting, and time entry oversight.
- Associate degree or certificate in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management strongly preferred.
- Experience in Renewable Energy, Underground/Overhead utility construction, Substation work, or Civil Trades.
- Journeyman Electrician certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Maximo, and related construction or project management software (1+ years of experience preferred).
- Experience managing multiple construction projects, timelines, and customer interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Thorough understanding of project management principles and project controls (design, procurement, construction).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to evaluate complex project challenges and recommend solutions.
- Ability to apply continuous improvement methodologies and drive measurable improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage resistance, provide constructive feedback, and prevent recurring errors.
