Location: Seymour, IL (near rural Champaign County)
Compensation: $18 -21/hour
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, with extended hours possible depending on weather and harvest needs
Employment Type: Full-time, seasonal with potential extension into early spring
About the Role:
Our client is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Agricultural Technicians to join their soybean breeding field crew. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on agricultural work with a focus on precision, teamwork, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Location: Seymour, IL (near rural Champaign County)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Agricultural Technicians to join their soybean breeding field crew. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on agricultural work with a focus on precision, teamwork, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Harvest soybean plots and/or single plants
- Bundle and thresh plants
- Count, clean, and maintain seed inventory
- Maintain accurate data records
- Adhere to all safety protocols and contribute to a safe team environment
- Work outdoors through harvest season, then transition to indoor seed processing (mid-November through January)
- Assist with spring planting prep (March – April) if available
- High school diploma or GED required
- Attention to detail is critical
- Ability to work both independently and in a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel) are a plus
- Previous agricultural or manual labor experience preferred but not required
- On-the-job training provided
- Dynamic work setting — indoors and outdoors
- Valuable experience in agricultural research and fieldwork
- Possibility of extending role into spring planting season
