Job Summary:
The Sales Support professional acts as a liaison between customers and the sales department, ensuring customer satisfaction by assisting with order placement, addressing account questions, resolving issues, and supporting overall sales operations.Essential Job Functions:
- Field written and verbal customer inquiries to place new orders, follow up on existing orders, or for problem resolution.
- Enter sales leads, quotes, and confirmed sales in the computer system for tracking and processing.
- Process customer inquiries and paperwork such as credit applications, freight quotes, custom color matches, returns, and duplicate invoice copies.
- Follow-up on confirmed sales to guarantee on-time shipment and delivery.
- Interface with sales force to support sales objectives and business growth.
- Handle dealer account information, including commissions.
- Maintain customer database by updating customer contact information.
- Provide customers with the requested paperwork, such as supplier forms and minority certificates.
- Other tasks/duties as required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in customer service is required.
- Experience in sales or manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
